Uganda. I hold a Bachelor of Education Degree from Makerere
University . Currently, I am pursuing a Masters Degree in
Financial Services at Makerere University.
I work with a Financial Institution as a Customer Services
Consultant. I am passionate about service and giving customers
the best experience whenever given the chance to serve

Jane Baine is a wife, mother of five, grandmother of three, and founder of Sleek and Slender in Nakasero. Sleek and Slender is a wellness and life-changing facility that was opened in 1999. It treats and teaches clients preventative Healthcare techniques with a focus on its four pillars namely nutrition exercise stress management and attitude adjustments. Jane believes women should make career choices that they can do forever and enjoy. She believes in discipline and commitment as paramount and women should be open to learning new things and attend training to open their minds to new opportunities. Jane would like to see Sleek and Slender growing into a Pan-African brand, assisting people to live better quality lives.

She was educated at Makerere University Kampala, Uganda ( Bachelor's, Master of Science, Doctorate) and at Stellenbosch University, Cape Town, South Africa ( Master of Philosophy). Lynda currently lectures at the Makerere University School fo Psychology, and is the lead psychotherapist at Akili Mental Health and Coaching Consultants, a private practice located in Ntinda, Kampala.

Pheona Wall is Senior Council advocate, Commissioner of Oaths
and Chartered Mediator with a Bachelors' Degree in Law, a
Diploma in Legal Practice and an MBA in Management. She is a
governance expert and a public relations practitioner with
over 15 years' experience currently serving as the Corporation
Secretary National Water and Sewerage Corporation Insurance
Company. She is also a Registered Trustee of Zamara Retirement
Fund and a Board Member of Fields of Life and the East African
Business Council.
She is the immediate past President of the Uganda Law Society,
the General Secretary of the Pan African Lawyers Union and is
a Council Member of the CommonWealth Lawyers' Association.
Pheona has also served as a Council Member of the Judiciary
Council and also sat on the ICAMEK and CADER Arbitration
Center Boards and is currently the Vice Chairperson of the
Advisory Council of Efficacy Methodology, an African Policy
Think Tank.
She is a member of the Arbitration and Africa Regional Forum
of the International Bible Society.
JOSEPHINE LUZIGE
Josephine Luzige is a lawyer at Luzige Lubega Kavuma & co advocates with keen speciality in immigration law. An ardent writer, she has written indefatigably on various areas of law ranging from immigration, to international humanitarian law and corporate law. She hold a certificate in Coperate Governance from Pepperdine University and is schooled widely on Criminal Justice for immigrants. She is the CEO Sente Yekikazi SACCO - a financial literacy group aiding women in her locality. She is a debater and mooter that has stood the test of time and hopes to profoundly establish more jurisprudence on immigration - refugee related affairs in East Africa.

A well-rounded accomplished professional accountant with 24
years experience, with more than 17 years' experience in the
mining industry with a Masters in Strategic Management (BCOM,
FCCA). Holding key strategic roles throughout her career. In
May 2018 promoted to Managing Director, being the first woman
and the first Motswana woman to serve in this capacity for a
diamond mining company in Botswana and the youngest female MD
in mining in the world.
Served as a board member of the Debswana Pension Fund,
Botswana Accountancy College and Pula Medical Aid. Recently
appointed as a board member at First National Bank Botswana
rated the best bank in the country. Labelled by Forbes, the
New Yorker, Mining Weekly and Vogue as the youngest female to
run a diamond mine in the world and a trailblazer in the
industry. In Nov 2020 nominated as the Top 100 Women in
Mining.
Nominated under the Businesswoman of the Year category at the
2022 All Africa Business Leaders Awards. Women nominated under
this category embody outstanding leadership in business and
have achieved positive financial results, sound management,
proven corporate governance, increased shareholder value, and
embody intangible qualities such as vision and integrity.
Awarded the Forbes Woman Africa Impact Award at the 2022 All
Africa Business Leaders Awards. The award honors female
leaders who have transformed a market, company, product or
service and who, through their work, have made a remarkable
difference in bringing about impact and change in the lives of
communities. This award has only been awarded to 4 women
(Naseem included) in the 10 years history of the AABLA Awards.
Conferred with the African Mining Personality of the Year
Award during the 11th African Leadership Magazine Awards in
2023. The award is in recognition of Naseem Lahiri's
strategic leadership pedigree in the mining sector which is
marked by excellence, tenacity and dedication to duty.
NONKULULEKO GOBODO
Nonkululeko Gobodo is the CEO of AWAKENED Global. She is the
former Chairman, and founder of SizweNtsalubaGobodo, now SNG
Grant Thornton, the largest, black auditing and accounting
firm in South Africa. Nonkululeko is the first African woman
to qualify as a chartered accountant in South Africa, in
1987.
The purpose AWAKENED Global is to contribute towards the end
of race and gender inequality. This initiative is focused on
assisting black people and women to take responsibility for
their release from limiting beliefs into which they have been
socialised, specifically about their identity (who they are
and where they belong), and to heal the psychological wounds
they suffered because of racism and gender inequality so that
they can live according to their full potential. She is an
author of a book, "Awakened to my true self", which was
launched in October 2022.
In 2011, Nonkululeko played a key role, as one of the leaders
in the successful merger of Gobodo Inc. and SizweNtsaluba to
form SizweNtsalubaGobodo. This was a monumental advancement
that modified the landscape of the accounting profession in
South Africa, ushering in a new era of economic
transformation.
Nonkululeko started her career as a junior lecturer at Walter
Sisulu University, formally known as University of Transkei,
in 1984. She proceeded to begin her training as an accountant
with KPMG in the Mthatha office. Subsequently, she joined the
Transkei Development Corporation (TDC) as a Chief Financial
Officer. In 1992 she established her own accounting practice
in Mthatha, in the Eastern Cape. She serves on the boards of
PPC LTD and Shoprite Holdings which are listed on the
Johannesburg Stock Exchange and Lesaka Technologies Inc, which
is listed on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange.
Nonkululeko's career has been the subject of case studies by
the Business School of the University of the Witwatersrand in
South Africa, and Lincoln University in New Zealand,
collaborating with two other universities.

Africa. In her role she cultivates and manages relationships

African market. She also implements contracts on behalf of
Amani Partners and oversees many Project Management life
cycles. Samantha has over 10 years of experience as a business
development professional, working with organizations in Uganda
and the United States to assess, improve, and implement
management systems for operational success. Prior to Amani
Partners, she worked as a management consultant, with several
MSME's in microfinance, tourism and hospitality,
transportation, and health & safety. Her objective was to
improve business performance by providing organizations with
advisory services and capacity building to ensure they
developed the right internal processes and procedures.
Before moving to Uganda from the United States, she spent time
in operations and account management ensuring strong
relationships with customers who utilized her organization's
services. Growth and customer retention were her areas of
focus as she oversaw a portfolio of clients in Washington DC
and Maryland, who brought in revenues of over $6.5M USD
annually. She continuously identified new opportunities for
business and with strong customer service skills was able to

RACHEAL KIZZA
Racheal Kizza is the Project Coordinator at the African
Writers Trust (AWT), a literary initiative based in Uganda.
Established in 2009, AWT aims to bridge the divide between
African writers and publishing professionals living in the
Diaspora and on the continent, bringing them together in order
to promote synergies between the groups through skills
development and training, mentorship and a biennial
International Writers' conference.
As Project Coordinator, Racheal leads the planning,
coordination, management and implementation of AWT's projects
including its flagship activity, the Uganda International
Writers conference. Now in its 4th edition, the conference
brings together over 100 delegates each edition from Africa
and its Diaspora, and is headlined by leading and
distinguished literary figures including British poet, Lemn
Sissay, in 2017, and Scottish poet and novelist, Jackie Kay,
in 2019.

Anita is a Digital Product Strategist with over 14 years of professional experience with a focus on innovation, partnerships and business strategy in Fintech and telecommunications both with start-ups and multinational corporations. Anita has extensive experience in identifying and leveraging opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. Anita is presently the Head Partnerships for Stanbic Bank where she drives Stanbic's growth strategy through collaboration with 3rd party opportunities in the ecosystem. Prior to joining Stanbic Bank, Anita was the Country Manager for Cellulant Uganda- a Pan-African mobile commerce company. Her role required execution of the company's strategy and business plans, while overseeing all aspects of operations. Kainobwisho competent and experienced female Advocate of the Courts of Judicature with 15 years' experience specializing in Intellectual Property Law, Business Law, Project Management, Oil and Gas Law, Leadership and General Management. She holds a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property (LLM), University of Turin, Italy, Master of Business Administration (MBA), Makerere University, Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice, Law Development Center (LDC), Kampala and Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB), Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda and several post-graduate certificates in Leadership, Oil and Gas among others. She has several qualifications in leadership and intellectual property from various institutions around the globe. Board membership Kainobwisho is a board member of Uganda Registration Services Bureau, Capital Markets Authority, Institute of Petroleum Studies and is advisor to a number of entities. Awards and recognitions In 2020 Kainobwisho was recognized by the Christian Women Network Association (CWENA) of South Africa among the Best female leaders in Africa. In 2019, Kainobwisho was named among the Best 40 influential Women in Africa by the African Diversity and Inclusion Center – a non-profit that aims to make increased diversity and inclusion on the African continent. In 2017 she was voted the best corporate Lawyer in government/public service in Uganda, she was also named as the Best under 40 years' influential ladies in Uganda by the New Vision in 2018. She has received several recognitions in Rotary for her outstanding leadership. Kainobwisho has also won awards of being the smartest employee at URSB. Membership Ms. Kainobwisho is a member of the Uganda Law Society, East African Law Society, Uganda Women Lawyers Association (FIDA-Uganda), Toastmasters International and Rotary International (Rotary Club of Bukoto) where she served in different capacities including President and a board member. Kainobwisho also served on several Rotary District Committees including the Committee that planned the successful hosting of the Rotary International President. She is currently the Rotary District 9213 Chairperson of the Maternal and Child Health Project, the signature project of the District Governor. Immy Nakyeyune is a social entrepreneur, leader and speaker who has achieved transformational growth in aiding women led Startups, SMEs through use of technology, Sales, and Business Strategy Development. She is the founder of Mkazipreneur, a community women enterprise support platform that was established in 2018 to provide women entrepreneurs with the skills, tools, and resources they need to thrive in their businesses. Mkazipreneur also supports unemployed women to start small businesses that can bring income. Through funding and partnerships, Mkazipreneur has trained over 3,000 female entrepreneurs on a pro bono basis, converted non-tech enabled women-led SMEs to technologically enabled, while connecting them to capital and markets to advance their businesses
